Obstacle #1 - Reverse Serpentine:

The serpentine requires the operator to back around a series of barrels in a continuous motion. The obstacle is worth a total of 200 points, with 50 points deducted for each barrel hit. If a barrel is hit and becomes stuck under the truck, the driver must stop until the barrel can be removed. 25 points are deducted each time the vehicle stops and/or changes direction.

Obstacle #2 - Alley Dock:

Here the driver must back into the alley dock without hitting the sides, and must stop as close to the back barricade as possible without hitting it. The operator must put the truck in neutral, then sound the horn at the back of the dock to allow the judge to measure the distance from the back of the sander to the barricade. The obstacle is worth 200 points.

Obstacle #3 - Offset Alley:

The objective of this obstacle is to negotiate the truck through 2 sets of barricades that are set off center, testing the operator’s ability to negotiate through tight turns in a confined space without hitting the barricades. This must be accomplished in a continuous motion. This obstacle is worth 400 points.

Obstacle #4 - Diminishing Clearance:

The objective is to negotiate the vehicle between cones that are gradually set closer together, without hitting any of the cones. At the end of the obstacle is a stop sign, the truck must stop before the sign, and the team must switch drivers. Remember to re-fasten your seat belts before continuing on the course. This obstacle is worth 200 points.

Obstacle #5 - Parked Cars:

This obstacle test the operator’s ability to plow between 2 simulated parked cars by knocking down or making contact with the cones between the barricades. This is the only obstacle where the objective is to hit the target cones. This obstacle is worth 300 points.

Obstacle #6 - Controlled Right Turn:

Here the truck makes a tight right turn at the radius cone. The distance between the rear wheel and the cone is measured, and more points are awarded the closer the wheel passes the cone without hitting it. This obstacle is worth 200 points.

Obstacle #7 - Controlled Left Turn:

Here the truck makes a tight left turn at the radius cone. The distance between the rear wheel of the rear axle and the cone is measured, and more points are awarded the closer the wheel passes the cone without hitting it. This obstacle is worth 200 points.

Obstacle #8 - Forward Serpentine:

The truck must enter the obstacle between the outside boundary cones and the first barrel. The driver must weave around the barrels in a continuous motion without hitting them. If a barrel is hit and becomes stuck under the truck, the driver must stop until the barrel can be removed. Hitting the barrels, stopping, or backing up will result in points being deducted. This obstacle is worth 200 points.

Obstacle #9 - Stop Line:

This is the final obstacle on the course. The driver must complete the driving by coming as close as possible to the stop bar, without touching it or going over it. When the operator sounds the horn, time stops, and the roadeo master will measure the distance to the stop line.

There will be 100 points possible for the stop bar and 100 points for completing the course at or under the course set time limit.

For the Stop Bar measurements with be taken from the toe of the blade, and points with be given as follows: This obstacle is worth 200 points.
